The author lives in Georgia with her husband and their three children. Her oldest son, a sophomore at Emory University, designs her book covers. He is a National Merit Scholar, a National Achievement Program Scholar. Her middle son, Eric G. Brown, is a Junior and Honor student at Forest Park High School. He is also the recipient of a five year Coca cola scholarship. His life size image is part of the new Coca Cola museum in Atlanta, Georgia. Her youngest daughter, Stacey P. Brown, is a freshman and honor student at Forest Park High School and is also a Coca Cola Scholar. She is an accomplished violin player.
The author was first published in New York at the age of six while attending St. Peter Claver. Her piece was entitled “The Bright Golden Moon”. It was evident then that she would be have a career in writing. She was educated at Flushing Christian Day School, and The Delehanty High School where she earned a Regents Accredited Diploma. She attended Queens College, Flushing, New York where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communications. She earned a law degree at Seton Hall University School of Law, New Jersey.
She earned many awards in 2005 and 2006 for her poetry, particularly “Don’t let me Die in Vain”.
